University of Connecticut Assistive Technology Oral History Project

Lyle Lloyd

Date: March 22, 2010

This is a very short introduction to the content of Dr. Lloyd's  incredible story.
If you're interested in the history of speech correction/speech pathology, audiology, AAC and ISAAC from the earliest years to today and the role he has played in each of these areas, you will need to go beyond the three snippets and delve into the transcript. Thankfully he has an incredible memory so that this history will be preserved.

Snippet 1: "How did you happen to choose speech pathology and audiology?"

Snippet 2: "What about the meetings held to consider AAC terminology and the founding of ISAAC?"

Snippet 3: "Aparently AAC isn't necessarily a required course for speech pathologists."
